Nashville Fire Department reported it used several equipment and a rescue mechanism to save the client

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the death of a skydiving instructor after he became separated from his client during a dive in Music City, TN.

Police say trainer the instructor "is presumed to have dropped from the air without a safety chute" during the dive on the weekend.

The instructor, 35 years old, seems to have detached from his client and a tandem rig, which links the pair during a jump and includes the parachute.

A law enforcement aircraft located Fuller's body in a forested zone some time after. Local emergency crews used multiple pieces of equipment to reach the 46-year old client who survived the descent after being stuck on a tree for some time with the emergency parachute.

Officials stated several additional jumps, which occurred near Nashville's John C Tune airport, were carried out without incident prior to the deadly incident. The plane from which they leaped also touched down without issue.

It is unclear how the instructor, an seasoned parachutist, became separated from the protective gear.

A man who assisted fire crews in the rescue informed a local television station the client who authorities saved said "he was a first-time jumper, and it was going to be his last".

Mr Fuller had previously posted about his passion for teaching others how to parachute.

"Teaching people to parachute has consistently been in my opinion the most satisfying job at the jump site," Mr Fuller wrote in an Instagram post in the summer.

"Observing students learn the skills and start flying their selves is always a touching moment. Occasionally though, it can become quite chaotic up there when you release a student for their first time."

That same month he posted images of the wreckage a jump aircraft he was on saying the aircraft's motor had malfunctioned after departure. Every individual onboard lived through the incident.
