The disrupted platforms encompass the social media app Snapchat, the gaming platform Roblox, the messaging service Signal, and Duolingo, as well as several Amazon-owned services including its primary shopping platform and the Ring doorbell company.
Across the United Kingdom, the financial institution Lloyds was affected along with its subsidiaries Halifax and Bank of Scotland, and also reports of issues reaching the HMRC website on the start of the week. Furthermore across the UK, multiple Ring customers used social media to state their home gadgets were not working.
Solely in the United Kingdom, reports of disruptions on particular platforms totaled the many thousands for each app.
