In a defensive struggle this weekend, the Denver Broncos clinched a close win over the winless New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and specialist Wil Lutz provided the late decisive three-pointer to seal the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Wins Game

Despite recording nine sacks against Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after giving up a safety in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce a mere 82 offensive yards throughout the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard field goal with just over five minutes remaining.

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets maintained possession with a opportunity to score a potential winning score. However Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion rather than calling on kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.
