Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter hovering near a popular California coastline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then descending near the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
Emergency responders stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were âsafely pulled from the wreckageâ following the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
